How to add a “Book” button on Google and Instagram for your salon

Take a client from finding you on Google or Instagram to having the appointment in two taps. How a booking button works and why it fills the schedule.

When someone discovers you on Google or on Instagram, they are one step away from booking… or from leaving. And that step decides everything. If booking means finding the phone number, calling and waiting for someone to pick up, plenty of people cool off along the way. A booking button removes that step.

The moment of decision lasts seconds

People decide on the spot: they see your listing, they see work they like and they want an appointment. Right then you have to make it easy. Every obstacle — opening hours to call within, a long form, a “message us and we'll get back to you” — loses a share of those people. The rule is simple: the fewer steps, the more appointments.

What a booking button is

It is a “Book” link you place where people find you: on your Google listing, in your Instagram bio, on Facebook. The person taps it and starts booking right there, without calling. In ClaudIA's case, that button takes the conversation to WhatsApp and ClaudIA gives them the appointment on the spot, using the real slots in your schedule.

Why it works so well

It joins two things that usually stay separate: the place where people discover you and the place where they book. Instead of telling people to “call us”, the booking happens in the channel they are already using. And since it leans on an assistant that replies instantly, it also works at night and on holidays, when the salon is closed but people are still on their phones.

Where to put it

Use it in all your digital shop windows:

  • On your Google Business Profile, next to the opening hours and photos.
  • In your Instagram bio, to convert whoever sees your work.
  • On Facebook and in any link you share.

If you already work Instagram well, this closes the loop: we cover it in how to turn followers into appointments. And if you want to see the cost of not making it easy, it is in how many clients a salon loses by not answering.

A booking button is not a technical detail: it is removing friction at exactly the moment someone has decided they want to come to your salon.
