What ClaudIA does not do

No tool does everything. ClaudIA's limits today, what it does do despite what you may read, and how to work out whether it pays off for you.

Almost everything published about a tool is written by someone who wants to sell it to you. So this page works the other way round: here are ClaudIA's limits, told by us, and at the end a way to check against your own numbers whether it pays off or not.

If you are comparing options, this saves you weeks.

It does not sync client records with your salon management software

Two things usually get lumped together here, and the answer is different for each.

The schedule, yes. ClaudIA syncs with Google Calendar both ways: its appointments appear in your calendar, and whatever you write in yourself is respected as busy time. And because most salon and clinic programs also sync with Google Calendar, ClaudIA fits alongside yours through there without you having to drop it. There are no two schedules to reconcile by hand.

Your client records, no. They are brought across once, by exporting a file from your program, and from then on they live in ClaudIA. There is no live connection keeping the two databases in step: if you add someone over there, they do not appear here on their own.

If your business depends on records staying in sync to the minute between both systems, ClaudIA is not the piece you are looking for today. If what you need is for the appointments to add up, that you do have.

What does prevent that from trapping you: your data exports whenever you want, with history and contacts. The client base is yours and you take it with you the day you decide to leave. A system you cannot get out of is a bigger problem than one you cannot sync with.

Phone answering by voice, in Spain only for now

ClaudIA answers the phone with a natural voice by diverting calls to a number of its own, and the numbers we have are Spanish. Outside Spain, voice is not there yet.

WhatsApp and Instagram do work from day one in any country, and that is where most people write. But if your business is outside Spain and what you need is precisely for someone to answer the phone, we cannot give you that today.

It depends on WhatsApp and Instagram being up

This one is true and worth saying: if WhatsApp or Instagram go down, ClaudIA cannot reply there. It is not our failure, but it affects you just the same, so hiding it would be no good.

What we do is not pretend everything is fine: the state of each channel is watched, and when one stops being healthy the panel says so instead of still showing a "connected" that is no longer true. Knowing does not fix the outage, but it lets you decide: you pick up the phone yourself that morning.

It does not apply discounts or decide on its own

ClaudIA tells people your prices and your session packages, but you redeem them at the visit. It does not invent promotions or cross discount conditions on its own in the middle of a conversation.

That is a decision, not a gap: you move the money. The same goes for urgent cases in a clinic, where ClaudIA prioritises but never comments on symptoms. The clinical decision is always the professional's.

On day one it does not know everything about you

ClaudIA arrives with the time for each service preloaded and the catalogue ready to adjust, so you are not starting from a blank page. But your business has things only you know: what you call each technique, your cancellation policy, that question you get every week.

For that there is an instructions field where you write, in your own words, what ClaudIA must always respect. In the first few weeks it is worth reading the conversations and fine-tuning there. It is not months of setup, but it is not plug in and forget either.

And for some businesses it does not pay off

It is a monthly subscription. If you see few clients a day, with a quiet schedule and no calls going unanswered, a free booking link may well be enough for you. We would rather tell you than have you find out on the third invoice.

The honest way to know is to do the sum with your own numbers: how many messages and calls you do not manage to answer, and what an average appointment is worth in your business. That is why we publish a free missed appointments calculator, with no sign-up. If the result does not justify the subscription, do not buy it.

Three things it does do, despite what you may read

When comparing tools, three assumptions about ClaudIA go around that are not true:

It does understand waiting times. The stretch while colour develops is not treated as a solid block: it knows the chair is busy but your hands are not, and it can fit a short appointment in there. We cover it in how long a service really takes.

It does know who does what. Each professional has their own hours and their assigned services, and ClaudIA remembers which one each client usually goes to. It does not hand out appointments blindly.

You do not need a new number. Your clients keep writing and calling the number they always have. Your WhatsApp keeps working normally on your phone: ClaudIA answers alongside it, and you take control of any conversation whenever you want.

Why we publish this

Because the useful question is not "does this do everything?" but "does this do what I need?". Both are easier to answer with the list of limits in front of you.

If it still fits after reading this, what ClaudIA does has the full detail, and you get it at soyclaudia.app if you run a beauty business or at soyclaudiadental.com if you run a dental clinic. And if it does not fit, we have done our job too.
